Gili Air

Snorkelling, scuba diving, exploring this jewel in the Flores Sea, watching sunrises and sunsets, eating, swimming, kayaking, as well as your usual hobbies such as reading, beading, woodcarving keep people busy.  Rentals for bikes, scuba diving, and snorkelling equipment are easily found which helps to make this a great place to bring a family to.

Rasmiw and Anna were looking for lodging at the same time we  were. He is from Denmark and she is originally from Germany (she lives in Denmark now).  The responsibility of caring for a litter of hungry cats fell to them when they moved into the their room.  The previous tenant had found the starving mother cat and kittens, and was feeding them.  We watched as they grew strong and playful in just a few days. Rasmiw and Anna decided to take up scuba diving lessons which took up three days of their holiday.

I decided to try my hand at deep sea fishing but only managed to bring in a small fish you could only use as a bait fish. Oh well!!!

Our next adventure finds us spelunking, looking at hanging coffins, watching cock fights, visiting a mausoleum and visiting world heritage sights.
