Hong Kong 3--Man Mo Temple

This is one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong.  It is dedicated to two deities--god of literature, Man Cheong,  and to the Chinese god of war, Kwan Tai, a Han dynasty soldier.  Many parents come here to pray for their children to receive good marks in school.  The incense coils send off clouds of smoke  and fill the room with a sweet smell that bites the eyes as the ashes drop into pans suspended below the coils. Think of them as giant mosquito coils.
