We said our goodbyes to our group in Manila, and left for Palawan Island. We toured the city of Puerto Princessa, travelled to an underground river. The river travels underground from one side of the island to the other side. You can only go about 1.5 km by boat. The rest of it is closed except for maybe extreme sport people. We went snorkelling from one of the islands in Honda Bay, then sat in the shade, and enjoyed the cool breeze, and the sandy beach.
One of the most unusual facts we had to get used to was that they use a fork and a spoon as utensils at the dinner table, no knives. The spoon cuts and shovels food into the mouth.
